Good Morning
Earth day is around the corner...I always end up asking myself...what do I do for the earth?! It's always a good time to rethink things around the house and rethink my daily activities that I could do less of that would make a small step towards a better earth.
We celebrated last night. A little family party (Mommy and Daddy actually since Little One didn't truly understand the joy we were feeling). Little One has graduated from speech. She was born early and had dwarfism. Her speech was slow at the start and our insurance company didn't think she needed extra help. I disagreed and didn't give up until I won. I have been taking her to speech since she was just a little over one! Early, but it has made an amazing difference to the start of her language and her comprehension. I know there are times when my insurance company can't stand me but I will do anything for what I feel is right. My Little One is the one that won! I know that the insurance people see the truth however I am guessing I will never hear them say..."You're right and we were wrong"! HA! The driving in traffic, the co pays, and the cost of gas was all worth it but it will not be missed at all.
Still preparing for Easter...I love Easter. Three years ago Little One was in the hospital fighting to breath with CPAP. It was the saddest and scariest point of our lives. I remember crying to the hospital staff a few days before Easter and thinking it would never end. The staff member look at me and said "You need to prepare yourself that things are going to get a lot worse and she may be here for a very long time". She was right to prepare us. Things didn't end up getting worse but we were ready for it. I have now decided to celebrate Easter almost as much as Christmas. It was a painful time but I have turned things around for my family. It's not about the gifts at all, it's truly about a new season and a fresh start!
Enjoy the Bunny!
and how lucky we are to celebrate that special day with you and our family! Can't wait to be together, and see the miracle that our Little One is!!
